The cost will vary depending on your requirements. Our Solar PV Engineers will design a system that is suited to your electricity usage, available roof space, and budget. As a rule of thumb, payback duration for solar power systems is typically about 6 years for home owners, and about 4 years for business owners. So to get a rough estimate on how much a solar power system will cost you, decide on how much you want to save a month, and multiply that with 72 months or 48 months accordingly. Or you can get a more accurate quotation by simply getting in touch with us for a complimentary consultation with our Solar PV Engineers.
We do not create any holes on your roof to install our solar panels, so the likelihood of any leaks are almost non-existent. However, every roof will eventually leak over time due to many other reasons, and especially if your roof is already old prior to the solar panels going on your roof. Rest assured, we have a zero leak policy where we will assist with any leaks you might have even after our roof leakage warranty period.
Solar power systems require very minimal maintenance as the system is hardwired with no moving parts. The biggest question most will have is how often should the solar panels be cleaned? The answer is very subjective, and it is dependent on the location of your property, the slope of your roof, presence of animals, etc. Also, it is our practise at Next Energy to help you find the most optimum time for solar panel cleaning, where the cost of solar panel cleaning will coincide with the improved solar power production after the solar panel cleaning. As such, all our clients will receive a complimentary access to our AI monitoring system which will help you keep track and suggest when solar panel cleaning is best performed.
Yes, in Malaysia we have Net Energy Metering (NEM) scheme that includes NEM Rakyat for home owners, NEM NOVA for business owners, and NEM GOMEN for Government properties. NEM allows any excess solar power to be exported to TNB, which will eventually be nett off in your monthly TNB bill. With NEM, the TNB will technically your battery system, so there is no need for a battery storage system which greatly reduces the cost of investing in solar power systems.
